Tim Cook pronounces ‘Pokemon’ like a dad, but sees possibilities for Apple

Apple Inc. chief executive Tim Cook may not pronounce “Pokemon” correctly, but he definitely sees the potential suggested by a new mobile game based on the property.

Cook addressed the augmented-reality mobile game “Pokemon Go” during an earnings conference call Tuesday, after the game quickly shot to the top for downloads and revenue in Apple’s App Store after its release earlier this month. Cook said the word like “pokey-man,” a common mistake that conjures images of out-of-touch dads bewildered by their children’s pursuits and could put you in the crosshairs of a Twitter bot.

Dude, tell @tim_cook, not me! https://t.co/f58imLyrho
