Need to Know: Watch for Apple’s earnings magic to spread to these companies

Few expected Apple to pull off decent earnings, but the iPhone maker plucked another rabbit out of the hat. Still, it wasn’t magical.

If investors “compare the numbers from a year ago, the picture is still quite hazy, as Apple do not seem to have any one product which could boost sales,” says Naaem Aslam, chief market analyst at ThinkMarkets, in a note.

Given Apple is rocking nearly 7% higher in premarket, it seems many are ready to give it the benefit of the doubt — at least for now. (Read: Analysts upbeat on Apple earnings, with ‘toughest two quarters’ now over.
