Outside the Box: Here’s what Abraham Lincoln saw at Hillary’s convention

What if Abraham Lincoln had been able to attend the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia last week? Here are some observations he might have made:

After attending the Republican Convention in Cleveland, I thought it only fair to drop in on the Democrats’ version. Mind you, the last thing I ever thought of doing in life was attending a Democratic Convention. In 1860, the Democratic Party was pro-slavery and against a national bank and spending on internal improvements (what you call infrastructure). My views were different.

The Philadelphia convention has left me confused. Please forgive me as I try to get my bearings.
