The Wall Street Journal: Edgewell swings to profit, but misses expectations

Edgewell Personal Care Co. swung to a profit as the maker of well-known consumer products like Schick razors, Playtex tampons and Wet Ones moist wipes wrapped up its first year after spinning off from Energizer Holdings Inc.

“The conclusion of the third quarter marked our one-year anniversary as a standalone company, and it’s the point where we began to put many of the transitional impacts associated with the household products spin-off behind us,” Chief Executive David Hatfield said.

Hatfield said the most-recent quarter’s top and bottom line results were in line with the company’s expectations coming into the year.
