My ailing father made his girlfriend power of attorney

Dear Moneyologist,

My father is 66 years old and recently had a stroke. He lives in New Hampshire. While I was visiting him in the hospital I found out that he made his girlfriend the power of attorney as well as the executor of his estate. She refused to have me added as a power of attorney and told me that he’s left everything to her in his will, but did not tell me what “everything” is. She is disabled so if anything happens to her, there is no one else listed as power of attorney.

My dad is a veteran and doesn’t have much money.
