Need to Know: Try these good-times stocks in a market that’s going nowhere

Bummed about stocks not going anywhere for three weeks?

Watch for all that to change, thanks to oil finding a bottom (apparently) and the Bank of England cutting away after a seven-year break.

Crude started looking less ugly yesterday, notes IG’s Chris Weston.

“The fact we saw such a powerful reversal at the trend low, despite [dollar] strength, has driven a slight uplift in sentiment,” Weston writes. “We now need to see follow-through buying.”

If crude can’t help take stocks higher, maybe the BOE’s market-mollifying moves will. Mark Carney & Co. just cheered traders by lowering interest rates and expanding their QE program.
