WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — President Barack Obama on Thursday urged Americans to contact vacationing members of Congress and tell them to come back to Washington to pass a stalled emergency spending measure to combat the Zika virus.

In February, Obama asked Congress for $1.9 billion in emergency funds to combat the Zika threat. Lawmakers could not finish work on the legislation before they left town, and they’re not due back until after Labor Day.
