Market Extra: Delta Air Lines grounds all flights worldwide after tech glitch ‘everywhere’

Delta Air Lines Inc. has grounded all flights worldwide on Monday as a computer glitch is leaving passengers unable to check in.

The second-biggest U.S. airline DAL, +3.09% said via Twitter that “all flights are grounded due to a system outage,” prompting long delays at airports around the world.

Delta further explained in a statement that the tech glitch is due to a power outage in Atlanta, which began around 2:30 a.m.
