The Wall Street Journal: Thailand shaken by another series of bomb blasts

BANGKOK — Three fresh explosions struck southern Thailand on Sunday, bringing a violent end to a long holiday weekend that opened with a string of bomb blasts that hit popular holiday destinations days after voters approved a new constitution giving greater powers to the ruling military.

The new explosions took place in front of shops in the southern province of Yala, a stronghold of a decades-old Muslim separatist insurgency. Chaichanna Krittiyanart, chief of the district where the blasts occurred, said there were no injuries.
