The Wall Street Journal: U.S. Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte robbed in Rio

RIO DE JANEIRO—U.S. swimmer Ryan Lochte was robbed in Rio on Saturday night, according to the spokesman for a Brazilian swimmer and friend of Lochte’s, but the details of the incident remain murky.

IOC spokesman Mark Adams said it “looks like” Lochte was in fact robbed. He said the USOC was going to issue a statement on the matter. The IOC had earlier on Sunday denied that Lochte had been a victim.
