Need to Know: Here’s a shining sector that’s not stuck in a glut

Gridlocked might be a good description for this market now that the Fed minutes have left confusion in their wake.

Stock futures are going exactly nowhere after what some call a dovish set of minutes collided with the recent hawkish noises from New York Fed President William Dudley. Next stop, Fed chief Janet Yellen’s Jackson Hole speech.

The Fed ain’t hiking this year, according to some forecasters. Unless the next jobs number is “another monster,” chances are fairly slim the Fed will sneak an interest rate hike in before the election, says Elazar Advisors LLC, in a blog post for Seeking Alpha.
