The New York Post: 2 allegedly drunk pilots pulled from United flight, arrested

Two United Airlines pilots set to fly 141 passengers from Scotland to Newark, N.J., were busted for getting boozed up shortly before takeoff, authorities said.

United Flight 162 from Glasgow to Newark Liberty International Airport was scheduled to depart at 9 a.m. Saturday before police grounded the flight, according to Britain’s Sun newspaper.

“We can confirm that two men aged 35 and 45 have been arrested and are presently detained in police custody in connection with alleged offences under the Railways and Transport Safety Act,” according to a police statement.

The Daily Mail identified the allegedly tipsy flyboys as Carlos Roberto Licona, 45, and Brady Grebenc, 35.
