Key Words: Stein and Johnson aren’t the most potent third-party foes faced by Trump, Clinton

Jill Stein and Gary Johnson are not the only, or perhaps even the most potent, so-called third-party challengers whom Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump need to contend with in November, notes a Wall Street Journal editorial on Wednesday:

‘A growing body of polling evidence suggests that in a race between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, the candidacy of “neither” would win, perhaps in a rout.’

More than a third of respondents to the most recent Monmouth University poll, asked whether they held a favorable view of Clinton, Trump, both or neither, selected the latter option. “Neither,” that means, were it an actual candidate, would cross the 15% threshold and thus be eligible for the presidential debates, the editorial notes.
