Donald Trump vows ‘no amnesty’ for illegal immigrants in fiery Phoenix speech

Donald Trump shrugged off any suggestion that he was softening his stance on immigration Wednesday night, delivering a hardline speech in Phoenix, Ariz., and vowing there would be “no amnesty” for illegal immigrants.

Speaking in a fiery tone reminiscent of his Republican National Convention acceptance speech, Trump was adamant that he would build a border wall, and left no doubt who would pay for it. “Mexico will pay for the wall,” the Republican presidential nominee said. “Believe me. 100%. They don’t know it yet, but they’re going to pay for the wall.”

Focusing on illegal immigrants who have committed crimes, Trump said he would create a “deportation task force” that was “focused on identifying and quickly removing the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens in America.
