The Wall Street Journal: Two of Trump’s Hispanic advisers quit after fiery immigration speech

Donald Trump’s immigration proposals outlined during an evening rally Wednesday shocked some Hispanic leaders his campaign was courting, and may have narrowed the Republican presidential nominee’s path to victory in November.

At least two members of Trump’s Hispanic Advisory Council — Texas attorney Jacob Monty and business executive Massey Villareal — resigned after the speech, in which Trump said all illegal immigrants in the country would be “subject to deportation.”

“I gave Donald Trump a plan that would improve border security, remove hardened criminal aliens and most importantly give work authority to the millions of honest, hardworking immigrants in the US,” Monty wrote on Facebook.
