Capitol Report: Dallas Morning News endorses Hillary Clinton | Trump to call for ending defense spending cuts

Donald Trump will call for ending mandatory defense spending cuts in a speech Wednesday, and knock Hillary Clinton’s foreign policy proposals.

Bloomberg reports the Trump campaign did not indicate how the Republican nominee would bypass so-called sequestration cuts to the military. Those are a provision of the Budget Control Act of 2011, which went into effect in 2013, after Congress failed to pass a budget. Trump will speak in Philadelphia and criticize Clinton’s policies as “military adventurism” that has resulted in death and destruction across the world, Bloomberg said, citing a campaign aide.
