The Wall Street Journal: Emails show Colin Powell told Hillary Clinton about avoiding State Dept. servers

WASHINGTON — Former Secretary of State Colin Powell told Hillary Clinton at the start of her tenure at the State Department that he used a personal computer to conduct government business, and took steps to avoid “going through the State Department servers.”

The exchange of friendly notes, released by House Democrats on Wednesday night, reveals some candid advice Powell, her predecessor, had for avoiding State Department computer systems and the scrutiny they bore.
