Gold futures fell for a fourth session in a row on Monday ahead of a much-anticipated Federal Reserve speaker and her potential clues on the timing of a U.S. interest-rate hike.

December gold GCZ6, -0.31% fell $5.20, or 0.4%, to $1,329.30 an ounce. Despite the late-week slide, gold last week did manage a 0.6% gain. Still, prices were at a one-week low Friday as Fed talk rattled the market.

On Monday, December silver SIZ6, -2.52% posted the more aggressive move as it shed 53 cents, or 2.7%, to $18.84 an ounce after ending flat last week.
