Capitol Report: Trump sets GDP target of 3.5% with economic plan

Donald Trump says his plans would boost economic growth to 3.5% a year on average — a level not seen in more than 10 years.

Speaking to the Economic Club of New York on Thursday, the Republican presidential nominee said that’s the estimate of his economic team, based on his policies of renegotiating trade deals; lowering the corporate tax rate to 15%; and an immediate halt to new regulations on industry, among other policies. Trump said his plans would create 25 million jobs over a decade.
