Capitol Report: Trump says he’d push colleges to cut tuition | Clintons buy third $1 million home

Donald Trump says he will work with lawmakers to tie federal funding and tax breaks for colleges and universities to “good faith” commitments by them to lower tuition costs for students.

“If universities want access to all of these federal tax breaks and tax dollars paid for by you,” Republican presidential nominee Trump said Thursday at a rally in a Philadelphia suburb, “they have to make good faith efforts to reduce the cost of college.” Trump, reports Reuters, didn’t offer specifics on how he would tie federal funding to changes in college tuition.

Clintons buy third $1 million home: Hillary and Bill Clinton have bought a home next door to their primary residence in Chappaqua, N.Y.
