Weekend Sip: A gin for every season

The bottles:The Revivalist Botanical Gins, $40-50.

The back story: These days, gin lovers have plenty of options beyond the traditional London dry variety, be it a gin from Spain or even Four Pillars, a newly introduced gin from Australia. But perhaps the most unusual gin that’s crossed our desk of late is one that’s tied to the calendar. In short, the Revivalist is a gin for every season.

By that we mean the Pennsylvania-made brand is not a single gin, but a series of four — one for fall (called Harvest), winter (Solstice), spring (Equinox) and summer (Summertide). The difference all has to do with the flavor profile.
