Market Extra: Wall Street is raising alarm bells over the possibility of a Trump presidency

The tone is shifting on Wall Street, where many analysts have gone from taking the U.S. presidential election largely in stride to downright alarm about the lack of investor preparedness.

Take Erik F. Nielsen, group chief economist at UniCredit Research, who warned clients in a note on Sunday that the market was far from fulling bracing for the possibility of Republican nominee Donald Trump winning the November presidential election. Stock futures prices were sharply lower in early-Monday trading ahead of the evening debate, the first of three, between Democratic contender Hillary Clinton and Trump; OPEC meeting uncertainty was also a stock driver.
