Despite Holly Golightly’s charming notion that Tiffany’s was an eternal beacon of tranquility, something decidedly unpleasant was taking place inside the renowned Fifth Avenue emporium on Sunday night, September 4, 1994 — it was being robbed by a pair of gun-toting thieves.
