The Wall Street Journal: At least 3 die as Hurricane Matthew hits North Carolina

At least three people in North Carolina died amid heavy rain, as Hurricane Matthew’s center moved closer to the state after raging through South Carolina during Saturday morning.

One person in Sampson County, N.C., was killed after a car hydroplaned, Gov. Pat McCrory said. Two people in Bladen County died in a flooded vehicle, he added.

As of 2 p.m. ET, Hurricane Matthew’s center was at Myrtle Beach, S.C.
