Donald Trump had the answer to that debate question about Obamacare… on his website

Republican presidential nominee and celebrity businessman Donald Trump has a plan to repeal the Affordable Care Act and still make sure Americans with pre-existing conditions can get health insurance.

Too bad it’s not the one he outlined on the presidential debate stage on Sunday.

Asked to explain how the two could be compatible, Trump said he would allow health insurers to compete across state lines so “you will have competition” and keep costs down for low-income Americans.

The concept not only already exists, but would also probably have “the opposite effect” for pre-existing conditions, according to Larry Levitt, a senior vice president at the Kaiser Family Foundation, a nonprofit that’s independent of health care company Kaiser Permanente.
