The most expensive streets in the world

Location, location, location!

Tell that to the people behind Abercrombie & Fitch ANF, +0.06% Louis Vuitton LVMH, -0.48% and Trump Tower. After all, they’re paying to set up shop on the most expensive main street in the world.

New York’s Upper Fifth Avenue is considered the most expensive retail location in the world based on its prime rental value, according to a report from Cushman & Wakefield. Prime rentals on the street cost $3,500 per square foot each year.

And rents aren’t getting any cheaper. Retail rents across the U.S. increased by 6.9% year-on-year, with Seattle experiencing the strongest growth of 27%.
