There are signs that the royal Swedish Academy is growing a bit peeved that Bob Dylan has been mum since the news that he’d been selected to receive a Nobel literature prize, having failed to acknowledge the honor for five days while effectively not taking the academy’s calls.

According to one member of the academy:

‘One can say that it is impolite and arrogant. He is who he is.’

Swedish writer Per Wastberg reportedly said the academy still hopes to communicate with the American artist, whom the prize committee has, according to an AP report, credited for creating “new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.
