Both Clinton, Trump wary of AT&T-Time Warner merger

AT&T Inc.’s T, -3.00% $85 billion purchase of Time Warner Inc. TWX, +7.82% likely will face political opposition no matter who wins the presidential election.

The proposed deal, announced Saturday, drew immediate skepticism from Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, among others. The merger depends on the approval of federal antitrust regulators.
