Market Extra: Clinton email probe delivers jolt to Wall Street in a few key ways

A fresh probe by the Federal Bureau of Investigation into a cache of Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s emails, just whacked Wall Street.

FBI Director James Comey told members of Congress on Friday messages have been found that “appear to be pertinent” to an earlier case of Clinton’s use of private emails. The probe into newly found emails, which were discovered in probing an “unrelated case,” follows Comey’s statement in July that no charges were appropriate but, he characterized Clinton’s handling of sometimes classified email as “extremely careless.”

The investigation raised the specter that Republican rival Donald Trump could win the U.S.
