Bond Report: The 10-year Treasury yield hits its highest level since July 2015

Treasury yields rose for the third straight session Monday, with the 10-year Treasury note touching its highest level in about 27 months on the expectation that the Federal Reserve could soon signal plans for raising interest rates more aggressively than previously believed.

The yield on the 10-year Treasury note TMUBMUSD10Y, -0.47% rose 1.7 basis point to 2.478%, its highest end-of-day level since June 2015.

Meanwhile, the two-year yield TMUBMUSD02Y, -0.69% gained 1.1 basis point to 1.143%, its second-highest level this year. Bond yields move inversely to prices, rising as they fall.

The 30-year yield TMUBMUSD30Y, -0.42% gained 0.8 basis point to 3.162%, its highest level since July 2015.
