President Barack Obama brags about the lowest unemployment rate of his administration.

President Barack Obama is leaving behind an economy much better off than the one he inherited. But how does he stack up versus recent presidents?

Let’s go to the numbers.

The economy has added more than 11 million jobs since Obama took office near the end of the 2007-2009 recession, the worst downturn since the 1930s. That’s pushed the unemployment down to a fresh low of 4.6% from a peak of 10% in the wake of the Great Recession. More data on that is due on Friday from the Labor Department.
