Stock futures flattened out Wednesday, as investors waited for a steer from Goldman Sachs and Citigroup earnings reports and from a speech by Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen.

Economic data will also likely get attention, with consumer prices and a home builders’ index scheduled for release.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YMH7, +0.07% rose 3 points to 19,766, while S&P 500 index futures ESH7, +0.09% edged up 4.75 points to 2,263.25. Nasdaq-100 index futures NQH7, +0.16% gained 4.75 points to 5,045.

U.S. stocks retreated Tuesday as the market turned its attention to comments from President-elect Donald Trump, who said a strong dollar is harming the U.S.
