London Markets: FTSE 100 drops as investors assess Trump’s immigration ban in the U.S.

U.K. stocks were staging a broad-based decline Monday, as investors assessed what U.S. President Donald Trump’s immigration ban in the U.S. means for the recent so-called “Trump trade” and for businesses world-wide.

The FTSE 100 UKX, -0.84% fell 0.9% to 7,119.46, with only the telecom group showing a gain. The index on Friday rose 0.3%, trimming the loss it notched last week to 0.2%.
