The Moneyologist: This woman’s father was murdered and, on her lawyer’s advice, she signed his properties over to her sister

Dear Moneyologist,

My father was murdered in 1995 and at the time it was hard to get my sister to do anything since we were both devastated. She ended up being the executor and it was fine with me since I didn’t have a college education. I had three kids and my dad always helped me. He was trying to get the guy he sold a truck to pay him and, instead, he killed him and tried to steal everything my dad had.

My sister felt it was my fault. She is great at holding grudges. I had broken up with an abusive boyfriend.
