Meet the man who sold a multimillion-dollar company so he could help troubled teens

Paul Muratore

Paul Muratore retired early to devote his time to helping at-risk youth lead independent lives.

When Paul Muratore told his friends he was retiring, they told him he was crazy.

He was in his mid-50s and spent his working life in media and film, most recently running a company with 250 employees. Muratore, 56, was the chief executive and president of Talent Partners, a New York–based advertising and talent agency that had $900 million in annual billings. He sold the company in 2015 after 13 years at the helm for an undisclosed sum. “I had a really demanding job and had a big company with a lot of responsibility,” he says.
