Prince’s music returns to streaming services, 2 new albums announced

The bulk of Prince’s music catalog was made available to streaming services Sunday for the first time in 18 months, and Warner Bros. announced two new albums from the late musical icon would be released in June.

Prince died in April 2016, and was extremely protective of his work. He had pulled his music from most streaming services almost a year before his death, and famously broke off his deal with Warner Bros. in 1996.

The release was timed to coincide with Sunday’s Grammy Awards, which was scheduled to honor Prince with a special tribute.
