St. Louis Fed President James Bullard sees the central bank’s target rate staying below 1% through 2019

No matter what you have heard about looming inflation or President Donald Trump’s economic policies, interest rates can remain low, St. Louis Fed President James Bullard said on Thursday.

Last year Bullard altered the way he forecasts the economy and predicted the federal-funds target rate would stay below 1% through 2019.
