Market Snapshot: U.S. stock futures steady ahead of Yellen testimony

A fourth-straight day of records for U.S. stocks hung in the balance Tuesday, as futures pointed to a largely flat open ahead of Capitol Hill testimony from Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures YMH7, +0.03% slipped 3 points to 20,380, while S&P 500 index futures ESH7, +0.04% eased 0.55 points to 2,325.75. Nasdaq-100 futures NQH7, +0.00% dipped 1.25 points to 5,258.

Major indexes closed at record levels for a third-straight session on Monday, with the Dow DJIA, +0.70% rising 0.7% to finish at 20,412.16, the S&P 500 SPX, +0.52% advancing 0.5% to end at 2,328.25 and the Nasdaq Composite Index COMP, +0.52% climbing 0.5% to close at 5,763.96.
