The Margin: Trump plucks ecstatic supporter out of the crowd to speak at Florida rally

President Trump’s Florida rally had one surprise.

Shortly after starting his speech Saturday in Melbourne, Fla., Donald Trump recognized a supporter from media appearances earlier in the day and asked him to join him on the stage.

“Look at this guy,” he said. “This guy is great. Come on up!” As the Secret Service patted him down, Trump told the crowd. “So he’s been all over television saying the best things and I see him standing and didn’t you get here at, like, four in the morning?”

The supporter — identified as Gene Huber by CNN, which broadcast the rally live — said he was first in line at the rally.
