The Wall Street Journal: Trump names Army’s McMaster his national security adviser

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.–President Donald Trump announced Monday he has selected Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster, who is currently director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center at Fort Eustis, Va., as his next national security adviser.

Mr. Trump called Gen. McMaster “a man of tremendous talent and tremendous experience.”

The decision fills a top White House position exactly one week after Mr. Trump fired his first national security adviser, Mike Flynn, for misleading the vice president about the nature of his conversations with Russia’s ambassador to the U.S.

Just named General H.R. McMaster National Security Advisor.
