What do we owe our parents in their old age? This millennial asked the internet

How can you help your parents save for their own retirement — while not jeopardizing your own?

This topic lit up Reddit, when a recent college graduate asked how she could help her parents save for retirement.

The details: This 21-year-old was able to complete college without loans, thanks to the support of her “incredibly frugal” parents, who are in their late 40s and are recent immigrants to the U.S., have paid off a $500,000 home, and earn about $150,000 combined but only have about $10,000 put away for retirement.

They also have a child in middle school who they plan to put through college.
