The Margin: ‘Love Actually’ is back — and it’s bringing comfort to stricken Brits

A sequel to “Love Actually” has aired in the U.K. — and it’s not just diehard fans of the Christmas rom-com giving the update cheers and tears on social media.

Many of the original characters in the 2003 movie return in the sequel, broadcast Friday as part of Comic Relief’s charity fundraiser Red Nose Day. While it was only about 10 minutes long, the specially made short managed to cover quite a lot of ground in its updates.

It’ll be a while before U.S. viewers can see “Red Nose Actually.” It won’t be broadcast until the U.S. edition of the fundraiser in May.
