The Tell: U.K. bond funds saw biggest inflows of year after Article 50 triggered

Flows into U.K. bond funds topped $379 million in the fourth week of March, marking a record for 2017, after British Prime Minister Theresa May formally triggered the start of negotiations that will see the country exit from the European Union, according to data from EPFR Global.

May’s invocation of Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty earlier this week comes after British voters in June narrowly voted to leave the EU. The full process of divorcing from the continent however will take two years.
