America’s best (and worst) airline? Depends on what you’re looking for

The airlines consumers choose to fly with depend largely on their specific needs. Looking for cheap — at all costs? Spirit Airlines is the way to go, according to a recent ranking from personal finance website WalletHub, which found it is the cheapest out of 12 airlines surveyed. However, Spirit only came in 11th place in the overall rankings. For pet transport, Alaska Airlines came in first, and for least complaints, or ‘Most Satisfactory Airline,’ Southwest Airlines came in first. (A spokesman for SouthWest said it was “thrilled” to be first place in the category.
