Here is one thing that Democrats and Republicans agree upon

More than half of Americans are united over their skepticism about taxes.

The country might seem more divided than ever following the contentious 2016 election, but there is one thing most Americans can find in common to complain about: taxes.

As the April 18 tax deadline approaches, the majority of the public — 56% — thinks the federal tax system is unfair, according to a study from Pew Research Center, a nonprofit think tank in Washington, D.C. That includes 54% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents who described the tax system as “not too fair” or “not at all fair,” up from 43% two years ago.
