The Wall Street Journal: Boeing anticipates potential widebody jet sale to Saudi airline

Boeing Co. said Sunday it had agreed to the potential sale of 16 widebody jets to a Saudi Arabian airline and a range of equipment for the country’s armed forces.

The aerospace giant BA, +1.89% said SaudiGulf Airlines is looking to acquire up to 16 twin-aisle jets, though it didn’t identify the model or potential delivery dates in a market where sales have been sluggish over the past two years.

The weekend bonanza of potential arms sales signed during President Donald Trump’s state visit to Saudi Arabia included Boeing Chinook helicopters, a previously-announced agreement that has already been cleared by Congress.
