The Wall Street Journal: Trump stalls on decision to back Paris Climate Accord at G-7 summit

GIARDINI NAXOS, Italy — President Donald Trump was the only leader at a summit for seven of the world’s largest economies who didn’t back an international climate-change agreement that the U.S. and nearly 200 other countries signed in Paris in 2015.

Trump instead set next week as his deadline for deciding whether the U.S. will remain part of the pact, withdraw or modify its commitments.

After a debate with U.S. allies that are part of the agreement, including Germany, France, Canada, the U.K., Japan and Italy, Trump wrote on Twitter Saturday: “I will make my final decision on the Paris Accord next week!”
