The New York Post: Stupidest bank robbers ever set entire stash of bills on fire

Bank robbing is not a licensed profession that officially requires training. But maybe it should be. Then we would have fewer boneheads trying to snag other people’s money in the dumbest ways possible.

Take, for example, a couple of aspiring bandits from Everett, Wash. They reportedly attacked an ATM machine with a blazing blowtorch.

As hoped, hot flames did get them through the metal barrier designed to protect the machine’s stashes of cash. But once they hit pay dirt, they met a surprise: $20 bills burn pretty easily.

Their entire haul went up in smoke as they fled the scene, Vice reports.
