Key Words: Private-equity billionaire has some advice for Elon Musk that we could all use

Elon Musk earlier this month followed through on his threat to remove himself from roles on two White House councils in protest of President Trump pulling the U.S. out of the Paris climate accord.

“Climate change is real,” the Tesla TSLA, +1.65% boss tweeted at the time. “Leaving Paris not good for America or the world.”

Well, neither is Musk leaving the councils, according to Blackstone Chairman and CEO Stephen Schwarzman, who shared his thoughts on CNBC Thursday. Here’s why the billionaire investor says Musk should have stuck around:
