Capitol Report: White House: Where the top economic adviser is paid $30,000 and the chief calligrapher pulls down $102K

The Trump White House complied Friday with a requirement that staff salaries be reported to Congress annually, and while the listed salaries largely follow established bureaucratic contours, with, for example, 22 of the 377 employees maxing out at a top-tier $179,700 per annum, it was also learned that Goldman Sachs alumnus Gary Cohn, director of the National Economic Council, is pulling down just $30,000 and confirmed that first daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, are taking no pay for their West Wing roles.

That trio, of course, is not alone in accepting salaries that are significantly below what they could expect to be paid in the private sector.
